Cam Thomas | 6’4 Shooting Guard | LSU Tigers

Cam Thomas is putting together quite the stat sheet when it comes to scoring the basketball. When asked where his favorite spot to score from was, Thomas answered “Everywhere.” He wasn’t lying.

He’s averaging 24.6 points per game to lead all freshmen and ranks fifth among all NCAA leaders entering the New Year. He’s scored at least 20 points in six of his eight appearances this season for LSU.

Thomas scored a career-high 32 points in the Tigers‘ SEC opening victory over Texas A&M, making a career-high 12 field goals and five 3-pointers in the process. He’s a volume shooter that’s proven to be lethal from the field and behind the arc.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from 3-point range on the season. He’s averaging 3.0 makes from 3-point land and shooting 90.4 percent from the free throw line on 5.9 makes per contest.

Thomas hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down with his scoring. He’s produced 29.6 points per game while shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from 3-point range across their last three games. With SEC play heating up, he’s another freshman to keep an eye on in the Freshman of the Year watch.
