Kentucky Wildcats

Coach John Calipari has gotten onto the transfer portal madness, landing three transfers last offseason. One of them was Wake Forest big man Olivier Sarr, who has had his fair share of ups and downs this season. But he was badly needed to provide some frontcourt production at the center position. With him gone, the Wildcats will be looking for his replacement, with Tshiebwe a legit candidate.

There are plenty of pros and cons, including playing for a prestigious program with plenty of eyeballs on them. But there’s also no telling how the overall fit will work out for the big men, as he’ll be surrounded by a new crop of five-star freshman. Don’t be surprised if Calipari makes an effort but Sarr’s situation may not be the best selling point right now.

Miami Hurricanes

The team’s 4-4 start is filled with several heartbreaking close losses, which has been impressive considering that they’re missing several key players, including a couple of big men (Sam Waardenburg and Rodney Miller Jr.) for the season. And with starting senior center Nysier Brooks likely gone after this year, there will be a need for a center in 2021-22.

The Hurricanes are familiar with Tshiebwe from previously recruiting him and he would have a big role on their roster, both offensively and defensively. Miami will also have guards Harlond Beverly and Isaiah Wong back as well and with proven frontcourt play could very easily be contenders in the ACC next season.
