Honorable mentions

Hunter Dickenson: When the 7’2 center committed to Michigan Basketball over Duke, Louisville, and Florida State he was ranked in a tie at No.37. In most part because 247sports gave him a forty-ranking. Since at Michigan he has been a major reason for the Wolverines’ undefeated season and 6-0 Big Ten start.

Despite only starting six of their eleven games Dickenson’s over 17 points, eight rebounds, and 71 field goal percentage all lead the Wolverines, while his 26 minutes per game ranks fifth.

Sharife Cooper: Auburn’s No.19 recruit may have only be declared eligible to play hours prior to the Tigers’ Alabama game on Jan. 9, 2021, but in those two games he has earned an honorable mention. The 6’1 point guard from McEachern High is leading all freshmen in scoring with an average of 27 points and in assists with over ten per game.

A few more games will be needed in order to see if he can really maintain these averages, but, he will be a must-watch as he attempts to. The excitement stems from the fact that he also leads all freshmen with over twenty field goal attempts per game.

Essam Mostafa: When the 6’8 forward committed to Coastal Carolina out of Long Island Lutheran he was not in the top-100 according to RSCI and if there was one, he would have barely made the top-300. Now that he is eleven games in his NCAA career his 25 minutes per game has allowed him to become one of three freshmen to average a double-double.
