8. Carlik Jones – Louisville Cardinals

Carlik Jones, Jones is a 6’1 185-pound transfer guard from Radford and the 2019-2020 Big South player of the year. He is averaging 17.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists for the Cardinals. Jones is 4th in the ACC in points 3rd in assist and has a shot to win ACC Player of the Year. Without a doubt, Jones has been the best transfer in college basketball this season.

With the ability to score at all three levels, along with the ability to create his own shot and shoot off the dribble. Jones is also a fantastic finisher at the rim. Right now, if I had a vote, Jones, with being 8th on my Cousy award list.

7. Collin Gillespie – Villanova Wildcats

The player checking in at number 7 on my list is Colin Gillespie. He’s a 6’3 190-pound guard from Villanova. Gillespie contributed 15.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. He’s a high IQ player who is extremely fundamentally sound. He was also very efficient shooting 44.6% from three and 86.4% from the line.

Gillespie also does an excellent job taking care of the ball with a 4-1 assist to turnover ratio. He is the engine to Villanova’s offense and a huge reason why Villanova has Kenpom’s number 4 offense in the country.
