Experience Will Play a Role

Everywhere you look on the court on Saturday when the Tide and the Tigers meet, odds are you are looking at a player that has extensive experience playing college basketball.

Alabama brings three experienced senior leaders including Alex Reese and SEC Player of the Year candidates Herbert Jones and John Petty Jr, four if you count Yale grad transfer Jordan Bruner, who is currently out with an injury. While the Crimson Tide are currently banged up, the leadership of Jones, Petty, and Reese has been evident in recent games.

Meanwhile, there is arguably no team more experienced in college basketball than the Missouri Tigers. The Tigers returned all seven of their leading scorers from a year ago, six of which are either a junior or a senior, and all have experience playing alongside each other.

It’s never easy to win on the road in the SEC, but having the experience that the Crimson Tide have helps more than you think. Missouri also has the experience and talent needed to pick up a big home victory against an experienced and talented Top 10 team. Something has to give.
