California Bears – Andre Kelly

The California Golden Bears are 7-13 currently and last in the PAC 12 at 2-11. 2nd-year coach Mark Fox has gotten them more competitive the last two years but don’t have the talent to compete night in and night out against the better teams PAC 12. Matt Bradley, Cal’s best player is back from an injury which should help the Golden Bears. Andre Kelly has been a nice player for Cal that more people should be talking about.

Kelly a junior big is averaging 10.2 points per game up from 7.5 the year before. He’s also improved as a rebounder adding 6.1 rebounds a game up from 5.6 and shooting a solid 60.6 percent from the field higher than his 54.7 percent the year before. Kelly can bang inside, score in the post, and has a nice mid-range jump shot.

According to Hoop-Math he’s shooting a pretty sold 54.1 percent from the field on two-point jump shots up from 33.3% the year before. His ability to shoot from 15 feet out along with his strength inside makes him a tough matchup. Kelly also leads the team in win shares and should continue to play well with Bradley back in the lineup.
