. 4-10 (0-7). . Cornhuskers . 14. team. 488

Things haven’t gone much better this year for the Cornhuskers. Nebraska has failed to win a game in the Big Ten and they really haven’t gotten close. Most recently they lost by 18 to Minnesota and it really wasn’t that close.

They still have failed to find any real identity with Fred Hoiberg at the helm and it doesn’t look like things are getting any better.

The Cornhuskers play a ranked team in five of their next seven games, so it doesn’t look like they have many chances to pick up that first win. They do play Northwestern the last game of the year, but the Wildcats have at least been competitive in most of their games.

There isn’t much to be happy about this year and the diehards have got to be wondering when will it get better?

Wildcats . 13. team. 489. . 6-10 (3-9).

Remember when the Wildcats were 3-0 in the Big Ten and were ranked? Me neither, but it did happen. Northwestern pulled off upsets against Michigan State, Indiana, and Ohio State in three straight games and made it into the top 25. But since then they have lost nine straight and look like a completely different team.

So which Wildcats team is for real. If you asked me, I would say somewhere in the middle. They are definitely not a top 25 team, but I don’t think they are as bad as their nine-game losing streak either.

Their last three games have been losses of eight, three, and five. They are close to getting back over the hump, but that first win again will be tough.

This Wildcats team is better than last year but still haven’t learned how to win games yet. If they can put a full game together, they can beat almost anyone in the Big Ten. The problem is they haven’t shown that they could do that.
