21. Tennessee Volunteers (14-5, 7-5)

The freshmen for the Vols continue to be on a roll, with Jaden Springer going for a season-high 30 points in the team’s 89-81 win over Georgia. He had another great game this weekend against LSU, going for a game-high 21 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. However, the rest of the team struggled on both ends of the court, ultimately falling to the Tigers, 78-65.

Tennessee looks to start up a new win streak, taking on both South Carolina and Kentucky at home. Both teams are in the bottom half of the SEC but have been playing better as of late. They’ll need more than Springer to step up to get back to being a top-10 team.

20. Wisconsin Badgers (15-6, 9-5)

The Badgers had just one game this week, a 61-48 victory on the road at Nebraska. Jonathan Davis (10) was the only one in double figures but five other Wisconsin players chipped in with either eight or nine points.

The good news for the Badgers is that they’ll be home for the next two games. The bad news is that it’s against Michigan and Iowa, two of the best teams in the Big Ten. A split would be ideal if Wisconsin wants to finish with a top-4 record and a double-bye in the conference tournament.

19. Virginia Tech Hokies (14-4, 8-3)

The game this week against Louisville was postponed due to covid issues with the Cardinals. Unfortunately, it looks as if the Hokies have some issues of their own, forcing an upcoming game against North Carolina to be taken away. The next game for Virginia Tech will be on Saturday versus Florida State on the road.
