6. Pacific Tigers (7-7, 4-6)

Pacific had a busy week with three matchups against their conference opponents. They traveled to Loyola-Marymount where they suffered a four-point loss. Five days later, they hosted Brigham Young University and lost by 18 points. On Saturday, they traveled to Portland and earned their first win of the week with a 12-point margin. In their only win of the week, the Tigers showcased what type of team they can be; one that shares the ball.

The Tigers had five players in double figures and shot 61.5% from the field including 40% from three-point range on 20 attempts. Call me crazy but it feels like Coach Damon Stoudamire is building a program that could regularly compete in the West Coast Conference.

Pacific will close out the season with another full week; they begin on Tuesday by traveling to San Diego to take on the Toreros, followed by an away game at Saint Mary’s. Finally, Pacific will end their season with a home game against San Francisco.

. Broncos . 5. team. 545. . (10-6, 4-4)

The Broncos recently returned from a three-week break in basketball activities. Their last game was on January 23rd against Loyola Marymount before hosting the Lions on February 16th in their first game back. Unfortunately, Santa Clara did not pick up right where they left off. Loyola Marymount avenged their three-point loss with a three-point win of their own. The Broncos then hosted San Diego and lost by 11.

Finally, Santa Clara ended their week on a positive note against Pepperdine which resulted in a four-point win. Santa Clara had a chance to make some noise this week and they failed to do so. It is understandable given the circumstances but you hate to see opportunities missed for a team that could have done some damage within their conference.

The Broncos will close out their 2020-21 season with an away game against Gonzaga and a home game against Portland for their season finale.
