Death, Taxes, and  Cunningham clutch performances. The star freshman has been everything as advertised and proved it once again on Monday. His 20 points, five rebounds, and two assists led the way for the Cowboys on a seed-shifting win over Texas Tech. With the win, Oklahoma State moved up to the eight-line, according to Joe Lunardi.

It was a rare game, where the three-point shot was completely ineffective, as Oklahoma State made just two. However, Oklahoma State forced 24 Texas Tech fouls and shot 32 free throws.

The NCAA has a massive decision here, as they have not declined Oklahoma State’s appeal to upheld their post-season ban from the Tournament this year. Oklahoma State is a young team, with a ton of Sweet 16 potential. The Texas Tech win shows what this team is capable of.

Cunningham’s hype increases every time he plays. It may have hit its peak on Saturday with a bizarre 40 points.

Anytime the Cowboys needed a clutch bucket or stop on defense, Cunningham seemed to be there. He made more free throws than field goals but was still very efficient from the field.

He wasn’t the only one in the high-scoring affair as three other Cowboys scored in double figures. Avery Anderson III had 15 points on a very good 6-13 from the field.

However, Bedlam on Saturday belonged to Cunningham and his incredible performance. The Cowboys might have the toughest slate of the week, with a rematch with Oklahoma on Monday. They then travel to Waco and Morgantown, back to back.
