Devontae Shuler – Ole Miss

We start with the team the arguably needs the most from the SEC Tournament this week in Ole Miss. The Rebels currently sit on the Bubble in the “Next Four Out” group, and will most likely need at least 2-3 wins this week in Nashville. The Rebels need someone to carry them to these wins this week, and there is no more obvious choice than Shuler.

The senior guard currently ranks 10th in the SEC in scoring averaging 15.6 PPG on 41.1% shooting. Shuler also averages 3.o RPG, as well as 3.3 APG, but Shuler is on this list due to his ability to take over at times for Ole Miss.

Shuler has scored over 20+ points in eight games this season, including a career-high 31 points at South Carolina. Shuler has also hit some big shots for the Rebels this season which includes a game-winner at Auburn and has shown the ability to get hot shooting the ball at any time.

Ole Miss knows going into this week that they have to win multiple games this week to have a chance at making the NCAA Tournament. The experienced senior is one of the best players in the SEC and has been at this stage before numerous times. If Devontae Shuler can get hot this week for Ole Miss, he might just carry the Rebels into the NCAA Tournament.
