Arkansas Razorbacks

The surge of the Arkansas Razorbacks under Eric Musselman has been one of the best stories of the college basketball season. With all of their talent, however, the Razorbacks may be in need of a reload sooner rather than later.

Moses Moody is almost certainly headed for the NBA Draft. Justin Smith and Jalen Tate are both seniors. But with JD Notae and likely sticking around for another year, Arkansas should remain a Top 25 team, which Battle would only help if he’s immediately eligible.

Arkansas has a Top 100 recruit signed in Chance Moore, but not much else for next year’s recruiting class. Notae and Battle could form a 1-2 punch that keeps the Razorbacks near the top of the SEC.

Tennessee Volunteers

Like Arkansas, Tennessee might be losing some of their top young talent to the draft. Jaden Springer and Keon Johnson are both likely goners. Defensive wing Yves Pons is also a senior this year and is likely moving on.

John Fulkerson is also set to depart, meaning there won’t be any true wings returning that played meaningful minutes a season ago. That’s where Battle comes into play.

Outside of a big NCAA Tournament run, there’s not much Rick Barnes can do to build momentum for next season. Landing Battle would do the trick.
