Utah Utes

If there is a team on this list that could use a player and name the caliber of Goldwire the most, it’s Utah.

The lone team on this list that missed the 2021 NCAA Tournament, the Utes had a disappointing 2020-21 season in which they finished 12-13 overall. Also after parting ways with coach Larry Krystkowiak and bringing in former Utah State head coach Craig Smith, the Utah roster has a lot of unknowns going into next season.

After losing their top two leading scorers, the Utes will return notable guards including Pelle Larsson, Ian Martinez, and Rylan Jones. While all three played extensive minutes a year ago, all three are still fairly inexperienced, and inserting Goldwire would be a big pickup for this Utah team.

While it is unknown as to what Utah will look like next season, it would undoubtedly be a massive win for new head coach Craig Smith to land the senior transfer. Not only would Goldwire help defensively with fairly inexperienced guards, but could have an option with the Utes to be a primary contributor offensively as well.
