Texas Tech Red Raiders

After head coach Chris Beard left to become the new head coach at Texas, the Red Raiders have seen numerous players enter the transfer portal. However, in steps new head coach Mark Adams with a defensive mindset, and an open roster making Goldwire to Texas Tech a very intriguing option.

The Red Raiders are currently set to return two of their top three leading scorers in guards Terrence Shannon Jr and Kevin McCullar. Previous point guard Mac McClung entered the transfer portal meaning that if Goldwire wants a spot where he can step in and potentially immediately start with talent around him, Texas Tech might be the one.

Goldwire could potentially step in and start at point guard for the Red Raiders from day one. Texas Tech was strong defensively a year ago, and while numerous players transferred out, adding Goldwire would help solidify a solid defense under a new staff.

If you ask me which fit based on the roster situation combined with the new coaching staff is best, it’s Texas Tech. Is this new coach Mark Adams’ first big addition of his tenure in Lubbock?
