Which Players will return?

Starting with arguably the most obvious storyline to monitor the closest of all this offseason is which players will return for their teams next season. There have been numerous top players from the SEC last season that still has highly anticipated decisions to make. These are the three different types of decisions to watch closely this offseason.

The first decision’s to keep an eye out for are players that have declared for the 2021 NBA Draft with the option to return to school. The deadline to withdraw from the Draft is July 19, and this affects a few notable players including Vanderbilt’s Scottie Pippen Jr, Alabama guards Jaden Shackelford and Joshua Primo, and more.

The second decision’s to watch are the players that have entered the transfer portal this offseason. Even though they’ve put their name in the portal, most people forget that it doesn’t actually mean that they are 100% transferring and that they can still return to their team. This includes a few notable players such as Georgia’s Sahvir Wheeler, Texas A&M’s Emanuel Miller, and more.

The third and final decision’s to monitor are seniors potentially returning to utilize their extra year of eligibility. This is a one-time thing that could see the return of a few notable seniors across the conference.

Even though most team’s rosters already look either similar or very different from a few months ago, those rosters could all still change extensively during the offseason.
