Georgia Bulldogs

Biggest Need: 1-2 Experienced Instant-Impact Players

There is arguably no team in the SEC that has lost more this offseason to the transfer portal so far than the Georgia Bulldogs. With second-leading scorer KD Johnson the lone notable returning player, Georgia needed to add to the roster this offseason and have for the most part.

While the Bulldogs have added some quality pieces including Virginia transfer Jabri Abdur-Rahim, FAU transfer Jailyn Ingram, and USC transfer Noah Baumann, Georgia still lacks a big-time star to lead the way. Expect Tom Crean and Co. to be linked to almost every big-time transfer going forward, with Georgia needing to land 2-3 instant impact and experienced transfers. While the Bulldogs roster doesn’t stand out compared to the rest of the SEC currently, that could potentially change a month from now.

Kentucky Wildcats

Biggest Need: Point Guard

The Wildcats have already made two instant impact additions in Davidson transfer Kellan Grady and West Virginia transfer Oscar Tshiebwe. These moves alone, combined with other additions and returning players give the Wildcats one of the most talented rosters in the SEC, but if there is one hole on the roster, it’s at point guard.

Kentucky needed to improve at the PG position in 2021-22 and appeared set until the recent de-commitment of recent signee Nolan Hickman. The Wildcats will eventually land another point guard at some point in the offseason, as they are still linked to a few prominent transfers and recruits. If the Wildcats can land a star point guard, will they return to being a dominant force in the SEC?
