New Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd has undergone a roster overhaul, landing several international transfers of high school prospects as he did as an assistant at Gonzaga. That includes Utah sharpshooting guard Pelle Larsson as well. The one issue is at point guard once James Akinjo left for Baylor. It leaves rising sophomore Kerr Kriisa but he isn’t proven to be playing 25-30+ minutes as a starter.

Martin could simply move a few miles over and play for a rival, with the keys to the offense completely for him. He’d be playing with a pair of key players in Bennedict Mathurin and Azuolas Tubelis as well. But will Martin be willing to come back to college and play for a team that may or may not make the Big Dance and go through the growing pains of a first-year head coach?

Auburn Tigers

The Tigers have landed a trio of transfer guards in Wendell Green Jr., Desi Sills, and Zep Jasper but none of them are the offensive force that Martin is. Those players aren’t necessarily true point guards either so it makes sense why the coaching staff has reportedly been looking for a ball-handler in the offseason right now.

Auburn does have a nice history with guards performing well in this history, including Sharife Cooper this past season. It wouldn’t be out of the question for a proven scorer like Martin to average over 20 ppg and see his own draft stock improve.
