Florida Gators

Another SEC program that really struggled to maintain consistency last season is Mike White’s Gators. An early-season scare to guard Keyonte Johnson really thwarted (and understandably so) any and all momentum the team had created in their first several games. Questions remain about the offensive system and roster construction that’s been implemented by White while coaching the Florida program, however, White seems to be open to changes already heading into next season.

The new approach may lead to more success and an affirmation of the kinds of players White wants at his program. Morris is definitely the type of player that would feed off of the Gator’s strong defensive tendencies and ability to create offense on the fly. His high-level defensive production in all areas of the court would be a huge catalyst for the Gators offensive production and the struggles they faced during the course of last season.

Florida’s roster still features a lot of talent on it and depth to last for several seasons. Adding Morris brings increased hopes that this team can improve across the board and avoid inconsistency throughout the season to chase a conference title.
