8. Tony Mitchell

Career Stats: 12.7 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 1.2 APG, 1.4 SPG, 1 BPG, 49.3 FG%, 30.1 3P%, 63 FT%

Spending three seasons at Alabama, Mitchell’s career with the Crimson Tide got off to a hot start averaging 9/5 while making the 2009-10 SEC All-Freshman Team. Mitchell backed that up by averaging double-digits over the next two seasons while also making Second-Team All-SEC in 2010-11.

Mitchell finished his Alabama career with 1,128 career points after coming to Tuscaloosa as a 4-star recruit in the Class of 2009. While his time didn’t end in Tuscaloosa as planned, Mitchell will be remembered as one of the most exciting Alabama players to watch on the court in the 2010’s.

7. Retin Obasohan

Career Stats: 9.4 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 1.5 APG, 1.2 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 43.3 FG%, 33.5 3P%, 68.3 FT%

One of the top point guards in Crimson Tide history, Obasohan never fully emerged as the full-time starter until his senior season where he started in all 33 games. That 2015-16 season was outstanding however for Obasohan as he averaged 17.6 PPG (5th in the SEC) making Second-Team All-SEC, as well as the SEC All-Defensive Team.

Obasohan finished his Alabama career with 1,176 points ranking 40th in Crimson Tide history, as well as 8th in steals with 154. When looking back at recent Alabama point guards, other names may obviously stick out more (as we will see later on), but Obasohan is always a name to remember simply because how special his 2015-16 season truly was.
