5. RJ Gunn, Columbia (SC)

The 6-7, 245-pound power forward is versatile — capable of playing multiple positions — and skillful. He also can really shoot the ball. Gunn comes to Duquesne from D-II Lenoir-Rhyne, where he averaged16.6 points, 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 47.5% from the field and 38.8% (38-98) from 3-point range last year.

4. Jackie Johnson, Wichita (KS)

The strong, athletic 5-11 3-star point guard chose the Dukes over offers from St. Bonaventure, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Montana State, and North Texas. Johnson is a scoring machine who can put the ball in the hoop from anywhere and he is an excellent 3-point shooter with unlimited range. He is also an excellent distributor and can get to the rim when he wants.

The Kansas native averaged over 27 points, four 3-pointers, and six assists per game for Hargrave Military Academy last season. Johnson also shot over 50 percent from the field and 3-point arc and 90 percent from the foul line in his senior season at Hargrave.

3. Leon Ayers III, Troy (MI)

The 6-6 wing is a transfer from Mercer via Henry Ford College (JC). Ayers is a “bucket-getter” and an excellent shooter who is versatile and possesses quick hands. Ayers averaged 12.2 points along with 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 52.1% from the field and 39% from deep (30-77) last season. He upped his average to over 15 points a game in the Southern Conference Tournament. The former junior college All-American scored in double-figures on 20 occasions.
