Schedule
Oregon State plays a relatively light non-conference, likely to the benefit of their new supporting cast and crowded roster looking to sort itself out. The Beavers open up hosting Portland State and then head to Ames, Iowa to take on a struggling Iowa State. They host Princeton, playing their first basketball since the Ivy League put their season on ice during COVID.
The Beavers are taking part in the return of Thanksgiving tournament weekend, participating in the Emerald Coast Classic. Their first game is with Wake Forest followed by a matchup against either LSU or Penn State. They open conference play on December 2nd at Cal and host a row of non-conference games against Sacramento State, UC Davis, and Texas A&M.
The non-conference should give them plenty of opportunities to sort out who is going to replace Thompson’s numbers as well as who will earn minutes with a lot of options at the guard/wing position and at the forward spot.
