Trayce Jackson-Davis performance

Trayce Jackson Jr finished this game with 27 points on 64 percent shooting from the floor. he ended up with a double-double as he was able to get 12 rebounds in tonight’s game. Most of his points came from the post and paint. It seemed like no one could stop him all game. At times in the second half, it seemed like Indiana’s only offensive production would come from Jackson Davis Jr. IU star had to step up in this pivotal game. As the stat sheet shows, he was able to step up in a very big way.

As expected, Ohio State double-teamed Jackson Davis Jr in the post throughout the game. Although he had a game otherwise, Ohio State’s double-teams did force him to turn over the ball four times in today’s contest. although he did have a little trouble with double-teams  TJJ had a dominant offensive performance. On the defensive end, Jackson Jr had another stellar game. The pre-season All-American had five blocks on the game.

If Trayce Jackson Jr is able to play to this level throughout the rest of the season, IU should be able to qualify for the NCAA tournament. The Hoosiers were highly dependent on Jackson Jr, as he scored 40 percent of the team’s overall points.

It is very clear that without Jackson-Davis’s performance, Indiana wouldn’t have even been in this game to start with. Although Davis did have a clear hand in the victory, Hoosier’s defensive performance was another reason they won this game.
