25. Davidson (16-2)

This season, Davidson has had quite the revival and been a bit of surprise in the Atlantic 10. The Wildcats hung tough with San Francisco back in the first week of the season before dropping a tough game to New Mexico State. Since then, they haven’t missed a beat, with this week’s results running their winning streak to 15 straight games.

Davidson continued their winning ways on the road this week, starting with an important 63-61 road win at VCU. Luka Brajkovic had 19 points and played brilliantly for the Wildcats. Over the weekend, Davidson held server on the road again, this time with a 69-66 decision over Fordham, with 21 points this time the catalyst from Brajkovic. Not only did the Wildcats keep rolling, but this was their third straight game on the road and their third straight one-possession victory.

All in all, Davidson is the hottest team in the nation with that long, sustained winning streak. They’ve even been tested, as they got a fantastic win over Alabama just over a month ago in the middle of this streak. The offense has been playing smart efficient basketball; we’ll just have to see if their average defense can catch up. Next week, Davidson finally gets back home, facing off with VCU and La Salle with the hopes of extending this streak even further.
