Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders (West Region) – 7:10 PM EST

The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Notre Dame Fighting Irish will meet for the first time since 1975, and the Red Raiders are on a tear. They opened the first half against Montana State shooting 72 percent from the field and held a 52-25 lead at the break. They never looked back in a 97-62 victory as Terrence Shannon Jr. and Bryson Williams finished with 20 points apiece to lead the way.

Texas Tech is looking to put the world on notice in the NCAA Tournament as head coach Mark Adams looks to show off what he’s capable of with his talented group.

The Fighting Irish have made it all the way from the First Four and it looks as though luck is already on their side heading into what should be a good one.

They’ll look to overcome a stimy Red Raiders’ defense to impose their will as a patient, methodical offensive scoring unit as they did against the Crimson Tide in a convincing 78-64 victory.

Cormac Ryan’s career-high 29 points on 7-of-9 shooting from 3-point range is a product of the run Notre Dame is on. Freshman Blake Wesley (18 points) continues to excel as well.

They’ll luck to run more of their luck on Sunday night as they look to punch their ticket to the Sweet 16 with an upset.
