Jahmir Young – Charlotte

1st team All-CUSA…19.6 points a game as a Sophomore…DC/Metro native. There’s a reason for the terrapins making Jahmir Young a PRIORITY transfer portal target almost from the very moment he made himself available. If Antoine Davis is number 1, Jahmir Young is 1A on this year’s transfer landscape as far as dynamic guard play is concerned.

A combination of both Young and Davis in the same backcourt would not only solve the terrapin’s scoring woes from the guard spot, but it would potentially become one of the more dynamic offensive backcourt tandems in the country. 247 Sports’ Jeff Ermann dropped a ‘Crystal Ball’ prediction for the Terps, despite Miami-Fla, Wake Forest, Georgetown, and a bevy of other high major programs being heavily involved. Of the guard transfer targets remaining on the board, Maryland Basketball has the best chance of bringing  Young into the fold.

Young was often tasked with playing both guard positions for the 49ers, and that versatility would be a boon for Willard’s quest to add that quality to the terrapin guard rotation for 2022-23.
