10. Cedrick Lindsay – Richmond

Lindsay is a 6’1 guard with scoring ability who was a versatile weapon at the high school level. He arrived on campus at Richmond in 2010 and was an important piece of the Spiders’ puzzle across the next four seasons. Lindsay was a bench player earning some minutes as a freshman but developed into a star in the backcourt across his next three seasons.

After meager contributions as a freshman, Lindsay shined as a scorer and ball distributor, averaging at least 11 points and 3 assists per game his next two seasons. His senior year was an excellent effort, averaging 18.3 points and 4.0 assists per game before tearing his meniscus in early February, a huge blow to the Spiders. Among his finest performances was a 29-point outing in a loss to North Carolina early in that senior season.

Lindsay spent three years as Richmond’s starting point guard, putting up decent assist and steals numbers throughout that time. It’s a real shame that his career ended the way it did, as he likely could have made quite the impact as a senior in the A-10. Still, he was an important piece for the Spiders and did play in the NCAA Tournament as a freshman.
