New Years resolutions for NC State basketball in 2023
New year, new Wolfpack
As the calendar turns to a new year, this NC State team and fanbase need to leave the 2022 year in 2022. Everything for this team is still out in front of them and they need to wipe the slate clean and just look toward the opportunity the rest of this season gives them.
The fans of Wolfpack nation were not given anything to really get excited about in 2022, especially the way last season ended with the Wolfpack losing 11 of their last 12 games. But this is an entirely different basketball team, that has a great opportunity to make a statement in the new year.
This team is experienced, hungry, and desperate to make a run this year bringing in four impact veteran transfers looking for one last chance to play in the NCAA Tournament.
D.J. Burns put it perfectly after the win against Louisville when he said, “I feel like a lot of people still compare us to last year, and we are going to go out every time and prove them wrong. This is a new team, a new way, and we have a new culture so we are going to go at people.”
When PNC arena is rocking it creates a true home-court advantage and energy that could help provide the difference in some key games down the stretch. If Wolfpack nation can get behind this new team and leave last year’s team in 2022, they could help catapult this team to another level.
