Power Conference nominees for Player of the Week
There were a lot of huge performances on the power six side of things this week as well. This was one of the hardest awards to choose from this week. The final five for the Power Six are below.
Oscar Tshibwe – Kentucky Wildcats
The big man dominated the competition this week as he had done so many times in the past.
Win over Georgia- 37 points, 24 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block and 3 steals.
Win over Texas A&M- 7 points, 17 rebounds, 1 assist.
DeAndre Williams – Memphis Tigers
The Tigers big man is one of the most athletic players in the country and he showed that this week. He was all over the place in two games.
Win over Wichita State- 29 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block
Win over Cincinnati- 26 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists
Trayce Jackson-Davis – Indiana Hoosiers
The Indiana big man is one of most polarizing players in the country. He is also one of the most dominant players in the country as well.
Win over Illinois- 35 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks
Win over Michigan State- 31 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 blocks
Drew Timme – Gonzaga Bulldogs
Gonzaga had a tough week, but Timme was able to record his career high in points.
Loss to LMU- 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks
Win over Pacific- 38 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks
Jalen Wilson – Kansas Jayhawks
Wilson has become the star for the Jayhawks and he had two huge games even though Kansas lost twice.
Loss to Kansas State- 38 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocks
Loss to TCU- 30 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists
