NCAA Basketball: UCLA, Alabama drops while Indiana rises in latest top 25 power rankings

24. Missouri Tigers – 16-5 (4-4 SEC)

The Tigers have a top-10 scoring offense in NCAA Basketball, averaging over 83 ppg. But they were struggling in the past few games before this week, scoring below 70 points in three of the past four. But in a road matchup at Ole Miss, they started out strong, scoring 47 points in the first half alone. The Rebels were willing to make it a shootout but couldn’t keep up for all 40 minutes, losing to Missouri, 89-77.

D’Moi Hodge had another good game for the team, leading them with 24 points. Kobe Brown also chipped in with 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists. But the big story was the breakout game from Isiaih Mosley, who got the start and produced 20 points and five assists in 29 minutes. These were the kind of numbers he was putting up previously at Missouri State but missed most of this year due to personal issues. Now that he’s back in the fold, he’s just another playmaker on this explosive offense.

They showed that against Iowa State at home in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. They got out to a 10-point lead at the half and ultimately improved on it in the final 20 minutes for the 78-61 victory. Brown led the way with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Hodge had 17 points, including 5/10 from three-point range.

After surviving that rough stretch of quality opponents, things get a little easier for the Tigers. They have LSU at home, followed by a road matchup at Mississippi State.
