2. Arkansas Razorbacks

There are currently a lot of guards on the Arkansas roster but expect it to get cleared up. Freshman Nick Smith is going pro and expect Anthony Black to follow. Davonte Davis is currently in the NBA Draft process, while either Ricky Council or Jordan Walsh could be gone as well. The one concern is how top-30 incoming freshman Layden Blocker fits into the fold because he’s a guard that needs the ball.

Regardless, transfers have a great history of succeeding under Coach Eric Musselman and Menifield is the kind of guard that can work with them. While the backcourt logjam would have to get figured out first, there’s little downside to this option.

1. Louisville Cardinals

Any time a team wins just four total games this past season, expect a ton of roster turnover. That’s the case with the Cardinals, who have already added Illinois transfer, Skyy Clark. They also have JUCO transfer, Koron Davis, and five-star wing freshman, Trentyn Flowers in the mix too.

There are going to be a ton of minutes available for Menifield, even if leading scorer El Ellis is back as well. The team is going to win more games next season but how many are yet to be determined. But the one thing Louisville can allow the former Huskie is the chance to be the lead ball-handler compared to the other teams. He showed to be better than Clark and if Ellis isn’t back, can run the Cardinals’ offense going forward.
