9. Oregon Ducks

After 10 straight seasons with fewer than 13 losses total, Oregon has now gone back-to-back years with 15 defeats, both resulting in missing out on the NCAA Tournament. While UCLA and Arizona have been top-10 NCAA Basketball programs and nationally recognized, the Ducks have fallen down the Pac-12 ladder.

Assuming that they lose out on the Bronny James sweepstakes, the roster is going to have some work to do. The top five scorers are all at least 4-year seniors, so they could lose all of them this offseason. And the departure of former five-star center Kel’el Ware to the transfer portal also is a blow, especially if N’Faly Dante isn’t back next season.

The team has a pair of five-star freshman wings coming in Mookie Cook and Kwame Evans. We’ve seen in the covid era with super seniors that freshmen don’t have a major impact so there’s a big need for some transfers to come in and have a major impact.

Coach Dana Altman seemed frustrated at the end of the season and if things don’t improve a year from now, he and the program could part ways. They’re a program to watch for sure in the portal, regardless of how good these two commits may be.
