Michigan Wolverines

Never say never when it comes to players returning to teams from the portal. A few have done that this offseason after seeing what their options are. What if Dickinson does the same? The grass is not always greener on the other side and there are a lot of unknowns with each of the other five programs.

The big man knows he’d be the focal point of the offense once again and his relationship with head coach Juwan Howard remains strong. Dickinson could bump heads with the likes of Coach Self and Calipari if they don’t see eye-to-eye.

The biggest issue at Michigan entering this offseason was the lack of talent on the roster. To their credit, they’ve been slowly rebuilding. The Wolverines landed Seton Hall transfer forward Tray Jackson, along with Alabama guard and former five-star prospect, Nimari Burnett. And the most important pickup was Caleb Love, who led North Carolina in scoring this past season at 16.7 ppg.

The team is rumored to be in the mix for a pair of other power conference transfers; Matthew Cleveland (Florida State) and Olivier Nkamhoua (Tennessee). If they were to land both of them, that’s a quality starting lineup that would just need an All-American caliber big man to round it out and be a big threat in NCAA Basketball next season. Until he picks a new team, the Wolverines shouldn’t be fully counted out just yet.
