Kansas State Wildcats

It was an awesome season for the program in Coach Jerome Tang’s first year, led by star NCAA Basketball guard, Markquis Nowell. He’s gone, along with Desi Sills in the backcourt. The only returning guard coming back is Cam Carter, joined by a pair of four-star guards in Darrin Ames and R.J. Jones.

Kansas State definitely needs a guard or two out of the portal and reportedly, is squarely in the mix with both Max Abmas of Texas Tech and Tylor Perry of North Texas. They could get both or they could get neither as well so just in case, it’s a good idea to have a backup option.

Louisville Cardinals

After having just El Ellis to run the offense last season, the Cardinals have been trying to land more talent this offseason. They landed JUCO combo guard transfer Koron Davis, along with Illinois freshman transfer, Skyy Clark. He only played 13 games before leaving this past season so he’s still unproved as a lead guard.

The case Louisville can make for Dennis is that he can be the lead guard on offense, allowing Clark to play off-ball. And the team is much improved overall after landing five-star freshmen, Dennis Evans and Trentyn Flowers. With Dennis on board, they could compete in the ACC next season.
