Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Last season, Louisville was the clear worst team in the ACC, winning four games overall and going 2-18 in league play. They’ve added enough talent to be fairly competitive next season so the new contender for the worst ACC team has to be Notre Dame.

It was going to be a complete rebuild regardless since the vast majority of the roster were seniors but once head coach Mike Brey retired, key freshmen JJ Starling and Ven-Allen Lubin transferred out, making it nearly 100% of the total production gone.

So far, new head coach Micah Shrewsberry added a few of his former freshmen/commits to the roster, including four-star prospect Carey Booth and transfer forward, Kebba Nije. But so far, it’s been just him and Northwestern transfer guard Julian Roper as the additions to the roster, leaving still plenty of holes left to deal with.

Notre Dame needs a veteran ball-handler, true center, and a shooting wing that can play at the ACC level. And that’s just to get them to feel that they’ll be competitive. Right now, they might have one of the worst power conference rosters in NCAA Basketball.
