Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The Irish are a team that’s been looking for some power conference talent to help build up this reloading roster. Coach Micah Shrewsberry developed a reputation after his strong past season at Penn State in which they were the best three-point shooting team in all of NCAA Basketball.

So imagine what a guy like Horton can do in that system. And based on the current roster, he’d not only be the most experienced player by a mile but on paper, arguably the best. And after dealing with questions about his role in the past couple of years, there’d be no questions if he were to land with this option.

Oklahoma Sooners

Before Antonio Reeves officially decided to remain in Kentucky, Oklahoma was a rumored possible option had he decided to enter the transfer portal instead. With that option off the board, Horton could be another scoring guard they might consider. The team has added a few pieces from the portal, including Rivaldo Soares from Oregon and Le’Tre Darthard via Utah Valley.

The concern is on paper, the Sooners don’t have a lot of shooting on paper. And with both Grant Sherfield and Tanner Groves gone, it’ll be even more of a concern. Horton’s ability to shoot alone would get him a rotation spot but how top-50 incoming freshman Kaden Cooper and others perform could affect the overall available minutes.
