LSU Tigers

The Tigers are a team in “waiver limbo”, as they’re waiting on a waiver for star point guard transfer, Jalen Cook. If he’s not eligible, the backcourt for the team becomes a question mark, as it’ll come down to Trae Hannibal and incoming freshman, Mike Williams.

And even if Cook is able to play, LSU is a team that needs another defender. The entire transfer class has impressive offensive numbers but how they translate into defending at the SEC level could be an issue. It may not have worked out with the last Southland transfer (Kendal Coleman) but Murdix should at least be effective as a contributor defensively and as a backup to Cook.

Nebraska Cornhuskers

The Cornhuskers have no concerns when it comes to perimeter offense on its roster. Sharpshooter Keisei Tominaga is joined by Charlotte transfer, Brice Williams. The team did add Iowa transfer Ahron Ulis but there’s a question about how viable an option he’ll be as the lead faciliator.

I can’t say that Murdix would be an upgrade over Ulis overall but he would be defensively and that’s an area of concern on this roster. He’d have some nice weapons to pass the ball too and if he can lock up opposing Big Ten guards, then I could see a nice role for him with this team, who could use one more guard overall.
