Kentucky Wildcats

When the five-star big man announced his intention to move up a class, Kentucky was viewed as a big winner, as they’ve become the favorite to land Quaintance. It’s even more important now, considering that five-star center prospect Flory Bidunga didn’t include the Wildcats in his recent final four list.

The team already has a center commit in the 2024 class in Somto Cyril, as well as Ugonna Onyenso already on the roster. So Quaintance would have to play more at the four-spot, where there is expected to be minutes available. West Virginia transfer Tre Mitchell only has one more year left and five-star freshman Aaron Bradshaw is likely only around for one year too. As long as he’s not exclusively wanting to play the five-spot, this is a legit destination spot.

Missouri Tigers

The Tigers have their starting center for next season in Oral Roberts transfer, Connor Vanover. He’s only around for one more year, as well as forwaerds Noah Carter and Jesus Carralero. So from a playing time perspective, Missouri is very appealing to someone like Quaintance.

There’s also a chance that the SEC program looks at John Bol, a top-30 center prospect that recently de-committed from Florida. The Tigers have been after him as well and Bol could be more obtainable than Quaintance. It’s something to watch if you’re Missouri when it comes to prioritizing targets.
