14. Tiwian Kendley

A 6’5 guard from Harlem, Kendley left New York for Colorado, beginning his career at Lamar CC in the Centennial State. After two seasons at that junior college, he transferred to Morgan State and had quite a showing in his final two years with the Bears.

Kendley’s performance was off the charts for Morgan State, becoming the MEAC’s best offensive player. As a junior, he averaged 21.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game and would have even better numbers as a senior. He helped lead Morgan State to a 3rd place conference finish in that first year and had a 40-point game against Manhattan. His scoring numbers were even more outrageous in year two, averaging 26.1 points per game.

Though Kendley missed a month and a half in his senior year, he was still clearly the best scorer in the league in those two years at Morgan State. He earned First Team All-MEAC honors as a junior and would’ve done the same had he played a full season. He put up impressive numbers across the board, even on the defensive side of the ball, and was a major addition to Todd Bozeman’s program back in 2016.
