3. Arkansas Razorbacks

Last season: 22-14, 8-10 in the SEC

Expectations remain high for the Arkansas Razorbacks and head coach Eric Musselman as they welcome another slew of transfer portal additions. El Ellis (Louisville) and Khalif Battle (Temple) headline a group of six portal acquisitions that also includes Tramon Mark (Houston), Keyon Menifield (Washington, will redshirt) and Denijay Harris (Southern Miss).

The Razorbacks return Davonte Davis, Trevon Brazile, Mekhi Mitchell, Jalen Graham and Joseph Pinion as they look for a better finish in the conference standings this upcoming year. Arkansas finished under .500 in the conference standings at 8-10 in 2022-23 but still managed to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. They upset 1-seed Kansas in the second round as an 8-seed before falling in the next round to UConn.

Ricky Council IV, Nick Smith, Anthony Black and Jordan Walsh are off to the NBA but a good core of returners remains with Davis, Brazile, Mitchell and Graham, especially from a versatility standpoint. Adding in El Ellis, Khalif Battle and their other transfer additions makes for an intriguing result.

The Razorbacks have won at least 20 games under Coach Musselman since he took over in 2019-20 and have missed the NCAA Tournament just once. With an experienced roster and a strong transfer cast, look for Arkansas to be a very good team in 2023-24 out of the SEC.
