24. Elliot Cadeau – North Carolina

Perhaps the most exciting of the freshmen in the ACC, Cadeau joins North Carolina and will jump right into the fray. Likely the starting point guard from the opening tip, Cadeau rates as an excellent ball distributor who can flat out make plays for the Tar Heels. The loss of Caleb Love from last season certainly opened up an opportunity, as Cadeau recently reclassified to the Class of 2023.

Cadeau is a 5-star recruit who can also score in bunches. When he’s on the court, North Carolina’s offense will be in a much better place. The initial concern is depending on a youthful point guard, though Cadeau demonstrated his ability when he could at the high school level. Can that transition into success for a Tar Heels squad with significant aspirations this season?

23. Miles Kelly – Georgia Tech

Things will look a little different for the Yellow Jackets this year under new head coach Damon Stoudamire, but Kelly does return for his junior season. He’s coming off a sophomore year where he took a major step forward, establishing himself as a starter and significant scorer at Georgia Tech. Kelly put up 14.4 points per game to lead the team last season, though it wasn’t in a very prosperous season.

This year, Kelly will be even more important to the Yellow Jackets on both sides of the ball. While he did make 38% of his 3-pointers in a great offensive season, Kelly did struggle with turnovers and inconsistency. This Georgia Tech team did finish just 13th in the ACC last year, though Kelly’s return certainly gives them some hope for the future. Stoudamire and this program are depending on another solid step forward out of Kelly.
