Colorado opens the 2023-24 season with Towson on the schedule. They’ll need to set an early tone in that one as nobody should be taken lightly. They’ll look to avenge last year’s loss to Grambling State in Game 2 of the year. The Buffaloes dropped last year’s meeting on the road, 83-74.

They’ll face a scrappy Milwaukee bunch out of the Horizon League to kick off the Sunshine Slam. Then they’ll head to Daytona Beach to face Richmond on Nov. 20. They’ll face off against FSU/UNLV to close things out, depending on the outcome.

The Buffaloes return home on Nov. 26 to face the Iona Gaels before heading on the road for their annual rivalry game against the Colorado State Rams. Colorado won last year’s meeting 93-65 and has won the last three games in the rivalry.

Pepperdine will kick off the month of December at the CU Events Center before the Buffaloes travel to Barclays Center to face Miami in the NABC Brooklyn Showcase. It will be both team’s first meeting since January 3, 1957, when Colorado took home a 73-66 victory.

Northern Colorado and Utah Tech will close out the non-conference slate before Colorado begins the Pac-12 regular season schedule on Dec. 29. The Buffaloes were an abysmal road team in 2022-23, fielding a record of 2-8 on the road of last year’s conference schedule. If they can put together a better road performance this season, look for them to get back to their usual 10+ wins in their final year in the conference.
