1. PG/SG, Stephon Castle, UConn

The best two-way guard in this draft may be in the hands of Stephon Castle. As a true freshman at UConn last year, Dan Hurley had Castle defend the best opposing guard while sharing the point guard reigns with Tristen Newton. Castle has the size and length that can translate exceptionally well to the NBA.

Castle is 6-foot-6 with a versatile wing span and effective lateral speed. His three-point shot needs some work, but he isn't afraid to shoot it, and that is one critical step. You have to keep the defense honest and be able to shoot the ball with confidence, make or miss. However, his unique style of play allows him to be able to command the offense or play off-ball due to his athletic frame and ability to attack off the dribble.

He averaged 11.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 47.2% from the field. However, had the second-highest defensive rating on the team behind center, Donovan Clingan who did most of his work in the paint. Castle is the best pure fit for the San Antonio Spurs in this draft.
