22. Gonzaga Bulldogs - 22-6 (12-2 WCC)

The Bulldogs’ reignited at-large hopes will ultimately come down to what happens next week but first, they needed to take care of two WCC teams with potent offenses. The first was Portland, who was within range for a while until a couple of big runs allowed Gonzaga to run away with an 86-65 victory.

Graham Ike had 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Nolan Hickman had 19 points. These two have played very well in league play but one of their off games was months ago when they went on the road and lost to Santa Clara. The Broncos were in Spokane on Saturday looking for both a season sweep, as well as giving the Bulldogs a bad loss to hurt their resume.

It was a shootout in the first half, with both teams combining for 98 points by halftime. But Gonzaga was able to make another run in the second half to be up double-digits, ultimately winning, 94-81. Ike finished with a game-high 26 points, while Hickman went for 20 points and five assists.

Now comes the final week of the WCC regular season, with Gonzaga playing its two hardest games. Both are away from home, taking on San Francisco and Saint Mary’s. If the Bulldogs find a way to go 2-0, they’ll be a lock to get an at-large bid in case they don’t win in Vegas.
