Michigan State +2200/220-1 – All Tom Izzo wants to do is see his team improve as the season progresses, have his squad playing their best ball by the time late February rolls around, and then navigate through the bracket that is before him in March.

At least that is what it seems like when you watch the Spartans handle their business in the Spring.
Tom Izzo is the one coach that you don’t want to face in the tournament bracket cause his mere presence means that his team is on the brink of a Final Four run.
He has a record of 46-17 in the NCAA Tournament with seven Final Four appearances and his lone championship coming in the 2000 season with Mateen Cleaves and “The Flintstones”.
The Spartans should be a virtual lock once again to get to the Sweet Sixteen this season even though they lost Branden Dawson and Travis Trice from last year ‘s Final Four squad.
This year’s edition of Michigan State Basketball is going to be led by Denzel Valentine, who led the team in scoring last season at 14.5 ppg and shot the ball well at 44.3% from the floor and 41.6% from three-point land.
Even if Michigan State gets off to a slow start in the beginning of the year, you already know based on history that they are going to be ready by the time the pollen burst into the air.
Tom Izzo at 220-1 is a great investment in any year.
Villanova Wildcats +2200/220-1 – Jay Wright and his Villanova Wildcats are another basketball program that loves to tease you, and then fails your bracket when it is time to shine in March.

Villanova went 33-3 last yearand still got booted out the NCAA Tournament earlier than expected by NC State in the Round of 32.
Nova’ lost Dylan Ennis this season who transferred to Oregon, as well as leading scorer Darrun Hilliard and forward JayVaughn Pinkston.
However, guards Ryan Arcidiacano and Josh Hart, as well as forward Daniel Ochefu are back , so there still should be enough points on the floor for Jay Wright.
What makes the 220-1 odds unattractive to lay money down on when it comes to Villanova is that much like Gonzaga, Virginia, or even Arizona, you just get that feeling that they are going to run into that one bad matchup in the NCAA Tournament that is going to mess up your money.
You would assume that at some point some point Jay Wright is going to get over the hump and play for a championship, but do you really think it is going to be this season?
If you think this is the year that they are going to take it all, go ahead and drop the duckets.
