Work Left to do

Syracuse Orange, NC State Wolfpack

The NC State Wolfpack got a big win over the Syracuse Orange on Wednesday night, 73-58, marking their second victory in a row. Syracuse looks to be in more trouble than the Wolfpack, for now.

Entering the weekend the Orange and Wolfpack both have some must-win games on the schedule, though they’re against ranked opponents. On Saturday, NC State visits Duke. Syracuse doesn’t play against until Feb. 20 against the Louisville Cardinals.

NC State is 1-6 against opponents ranked in the AP Poll and Syracuse has posted a 2-4 record this season. More losses could sway some decision makers in the opposite direction when it comes to automatic bids.

We’ll see what the Wolfpack learned from their three-straight losses against ranked foes. Syracuse will have a week to work on their offense before Louisville. They shot 35 percent as a team against NC State on Wednesday night.
