2019 Recruiting Class

The Demon Deacons have four players in their 2019 recruiting class, with two scholarships left on the market. Ismael Massoud, a 6-foot-8 small forward, is currently the highest rated player in the group. He’s ranked 131st overall in this year’s class. He ran on the AAU circuit this past summer with the PSA Cardinals alongside five-star point guard Cole Anthony.

Massoud is a wiry forward that can shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor. He’ll add depth to a team desperately in need but will need to prove himself on defense.

Jahcobi Neath is an explosive point guard that loves to attack the basket. He’s a 6-foot-3  floor general that isn’t afraid to throw it down with authority, though, getting his teammates involved isn’t difficult either.

He’s a native of Ontario, Canada and was a member of the 2018 U18 Men’s National Team along with Andrew Nembhard (Florida), R.J. Barrett (Duke) and Tyrese Samuel (Seton Hall).

Ody Oguama is a 6-foot-9 power forward that hopes to shore up their frontcourt issues, but at 190 pounds, he’s going to have to bulk up slightly prior to the season’s beginning. Oguama was a walking double-double for his Woodstock Academy (CT) squad and a defensive force, two things Wake Forest needs next year.

7-foot center Charles Coleman committed on March 2 and has yet to sign with Signing Day approaching April 17. He’s held onto his commitment so far which gives them another big man in the frontcourt to work with. Now, Manning will just need to turn it into wins on the hardwood.
