NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Analyzing Jalen Wilson’s top options

Florida is an interesting member of this group of five due to the idea that they were not heavily involved in recruiting Jalen Wilson prior to his earlier commitment to Michigan. Yet, here they are. Gators’ head coach Mike White has certainly had his fair share of successes on the recruiting trail over the past couple of years and it is possible that this talented forward envisions a possibility of shooting this recruiting class into the nation’s top-5.

Florida’s class, which is ranked at No. 7 at the moment, already features three top-50 players with the potential of adding another. The future clearly looks bright in Gainesville as the team may start to garner significant buzz as a preseason top-25 team should Wilson commit. Florida might already have a couple of nice pieces on the wing but their depth is a cause for concern that would be remedied with Wilson.

For some reason, it seems as though Florida’s recruiting class is flying a bit under the radar despite being ranked in the nation’s top-10. The Gators could be on the verge of a major season following these recruiting wins – I am also of the belief that Coach White does not receive the credit that he deserves. Florida might not be the biggest CBB name in Wilson’s five but they deserve plenty of consideration.
