18) Caleb Love

Position: PG
Height: 6-3
Weight: 170 lbs
High School: Christian Brothers College (Saint Louis, MO)
Considering: Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Missouri, North Carolina

Scouting Report: Love has good size for a point guard to go along with the kind of athleticism that allows him to hang with or blow past everyone he’ll go up against. That gives him upside defensively and, offensively, there’s a lot to like about his game.

Love has proven he is capable of carrying a team with his scoring. His quickness and length allow him to get to and finish around the basket, and he has the dribbling ability to create his own shot off the bounce. Love is also a great passer and, while he’s still perfecting the balance between when to attack and when to create, he can be a lethal facilitator as well.

Prediction: Louisville. Love will visit all of his finalists except for Arizona and has said that playing alongside other high-end players will be a big factor in his decision. Kansas, Louisville, and North Carolina will all fit that mold and all will have an opening at point guard should DJ Dotson leave KU and Cole Anthony leave UNC as expected.

Yet the Cardinals could very well end up being the pick here. Head coach Chris Mack has turned the program around quickly and just brought in the nation’s No. 12-rated class in 2019. They’re in the mix for several elite prospects in 2020 as well and we could see them landing a few including Love, who would easily slide in as their starting point guard.
