Virginia Cavaliers

Luck continues to be on the Virginia Cavaliers side in 2019-20. They have won three ACC games in a row as the schedule winds down. The Cavaliers are 6-1 in their last six ACC games and peaking at the right time with a record of 10-5 in conference action.

With an 18-7 overall record and a recent victory over Florida State on Jan. 28, the Cavaliers are putting together quite the resume as March approaches. Junior guard Tomas Woldetensae was the unsung hero for the Cavaliers in their overtime victory over North Carolina last Saturday. He drained six 3-pointers to the tune of 18 points, including the game-winning 3-point shot to put them up for good with 0.8 left in the game.

Virginia is finding their way at the right time and could even find themselves back in the AP Poll before it’s all said and done. They’re on the right side of the bubble for now and barring a collapse, it should remain that way until Selection Sunday. They’re 3-3 against Quadrant 1 teams and 5-3 against Quadrant 2 according to the NET rankings with an overall rank of 55. The more they win, the more that number improves.
