Georgia Bulldogs

With the team’s two leading scorers gone (Anthony Edwards and Rayshaun Hammonds), the Bulldogs next year are going to be young and currently lack a scoring punch. It looks likes it’ll be a committee approach for the offense, led by Sahvir Wheeler, Toumani Camara and JUCO newcomers Jonathan Ned and Mikal Starks.

Grad transfer guard Justin Kier also will contribute, being the team’s lone upperclassmen with D-I experience. There’s a need for Garcia’s experience and versatility on offense and he could have a big role for the Bulldogs. It also allows the team to keep a scholarship open for the following year to keep adding to its talent pool.

Maryland Terrapins

After adding Alabama grad transfer Galin Smith, the Terps can breathe a little easier when it comes to their frontcourt for next season. They can still add another player, either in the frontcourt again or possibly on the wing/forward spot, under the assumption that Boston College transfer Jairus Hamilton has to sit next season.

Maryland will rely on their returning trio of guards to provide plenty of offense to replace All-Big Ten stars Anthony Cowan and Jalen Smith. To be on the safe side, adding a double-digit asset this late in the portal who can play multiple positions would be a huge boost for the Terps and put them on solid ground for 2020-21.
